The purpose of Ylivieska Youth Services’ targeted youth work is to reach young people in need of support and find them the appropriate help and support. The work methods include, for example, individual and small group operations. Targeted youth work is carried out by Jelppiverkko’s outreach youth workers and individual guidance and start-up coaches as well as Ohjaamo workers. Young people are referred to youth work at their own initiative, at the initiative of a family member’s contact, or by various educational institutions or authorities.
